Just over 3 years ago my crazy friend Dudz came into work, stating that now her and her ex had split I had to go on holiday with her, it was half price, just so happened her mum was my boss so I was granted the annual leave - within 2 weeks we are on a plane leaving drab Someset and the UK behind, off on a holiday that would change my life :)
The hotel was lovely, lovely yet a tad boring, we were both man hating after being screwed over by immature idiots in our past and decided we would go to the hotel bar for the night and get smashed!
After a few cocktails and the childrens entertainment, we decided to grab a taxi into Playa de las Americas before we got roped into the family pub quiz - eeekk!
Our taxi driver drops us to a bar called 'Leonardos', chilling and chatting Dudz notices a group of 4 lads walk into the bar, (to be honest they looked like 2 gay couples as each pair had matching shorts - all males take note - on lads holiday dont match your clothing). There are a large number of free chairs and tables and they choose to sit next to us, 'Joy!' I thought, the last thing I really wanted to do was talk to anything with a penis. Next thing you know my lovely somerset friend starts chatting to them, we are then invited to their table and being asked to meet up with them later that night.
When we moved to their table I was introduced to 'Steveyk' a nice looking lad, who was actually really quite charming, in a weird way.
We arrange to meet them in the club 'Tramps' later that night, Dudz and I decide we are going to hit the shots, more drinks later, we head off for a boogie - as we make our way through the dance floor my arm is grabbed by 'Steveyk's' friend 'Loveday', we all mingle and chat for a minute when steveys friend asks me to give stevey a kiss as they are playing a points game and he would get 2 for kissing me!!
Wow!! not the most romantic first kiss and not something I would ever say yes to normally, but something inside me made me say yes and that was it, as the Killers say - it started out with a kiss how did it end up like this..... ;)
We end up hanging around with them for the remainder of the night - however I am a good girl and did not invite Stevey back that night - he even says if I had he probably would have never fallen for me........
